About Boyd By Dezign

Boyd By Dezign came about due to my passion for jewellery and accessories.
Sensitivity to most base metals was a huge issue when it came to wearing the latest and trendiest jewellery designs and the cost of designer baubles in sterling silver and solid gold was just not in my budget.
This is where Boyd By Dezign was born.
I have been making jewellery for as long as I can remember.
My earliest works were with little yellow daisies, making daisy chain necklaces and rings in the backyard.

From there I progressed to beads (cheap ones so I could obviously make lots of different designs) and then over the years worked my way up to sterling silver, sea glass , freshwater pearls art glass and now are just starting out with copper and bronze.
Due to my passion for glass I also have started lamp working so I can use my full creative energy and produce exactly what I see in my mind without having to utilise others creations.
My business has evolved over the last few years from providing mass produced jewellery to now moving into the one of a kind and artisan type range, although some of the quality mass produced jewellery will still be available, I am now turning my attention to other artists and adding my own signature range as a point of difference.
Hopefully as this blog continues you will also see the growth in my work and those of others that are exhibited on this site.
